For many, many years, Halloween has been celebrated on the eve of All Saints Day. Jack-lantern is the main symbol of this holiday. A carved pumpkin with an ugly face has become an integral part of Halloween, its image is everywhere on this holiday! Begging for food is arguably one of the most enjoyable Halloween traditions. The method of making Halloween cookies "Pumpkin Jack"
Mix the dough. First, butter and sugar, then yolk, then wheat flour. If the mixture is too dry and crumbly, then add a tablespoon of water, milk or cream. Place the finished dough in a cold place for 10 minutes.

On thick white paper we print a sketch of the future cookies. Its dimensions are arbitrary, but from my own experience I will say that it is easier to paint with icing on large cookies.

Pour some flour on the table, divide the dough into 10 parts, roll out each part in a layer 6-7 millimeters thick. Transfer to a baking sheet, lay out, leaving free space between the cookies.

The baking temperature is 170 degrees Celsius. Time in the oven for 10 minutes. Cool the finished cookies on a baking sheet.

We transfer the contour of the future drawing to the blanks; an ordinary simple pencil is suitable for this. We mix white glaze from protein and powdered sugar, on its basis we mix the necessary colors. With a brush, apply a thin layer of gray glaze to all the blanks: eyes, mouth, nose of the evil Jack.

Mix the orange glaze, paint over the pumpkin. If the ribs on the pumpkin are drawn at short intervals (about 2-3 minutes), then they turn out to be voluminous.
After the main color of the pumpkin dries up, draw the hat of the evil Jack with light gray glaze.

The white glaze can be applied after the gray and orange glaze is completely dry. We make a buckle on the hat, teeth, eyes.
We make the ribbon on the hat brown, but you can choose your own colors. You can paint the tape after the white glaze dries (15-20 minutes), otherwise the colors will mix.
We give a little elegance to the picture, draw bright curls with green glaze. Use a piping bag with a fine cream nozzle to make the lines thin and graceful. The smaller the hole, the more beautiful the curl line will be.

Ready-made Halloween cookies should be put in a dry, warm, inaccessible (especially for children) place for 12 hours. Protein and sugar based glaze should only dry naturally. After 12 hours, the pattern on the cookies will be fixed, dry and gain strength.
