When guests are on the doorstep or there is no time to prepare a gourmet dinner, cook sausages on skewers. It turns out a delicious and rather spectacular meat dish that will decorate the table. To prepare it, you need a stove with a grill, but if you don’t have one, then 5-7 minutes before being ready, grease the sausages with melted butter and increase the temperature in the oven to 250 degrees to get a golden brown crust.

Ingredients for grilled chicken sausages
- 400 g chicken breast;
- 2 heads of onions;
- a pod of red chili;
- 50 ml cream;
- 3 tablespoons oat bran;
- 15 g dill;
- salt, thyme, ground red pepper, bamboo skewers.
Method for preparing grilled chicken sausages
We remove the meat from the bones, remove the skin. Grind the chicken fillet in a meat grinder or food processor. Minced meat can also be cooked without using these tools: tender meat can be easily chopped with a sharp knife on a regular cutting board. Transfer the minced meat to a mixing bowl.
We clean one head of onion from the husk, rub it on a fine grater, add to a bowl.
We clean a small pod of hot chili pepper from partitions, remove the seeds. Cut the pulp into small cubes. We definitely try chili, since the degree of its hotness depends on the variety, sometimes a small piece is enough.
Pour cold cream (20% fat) into a bowl. The fattier the cream, the tastier the sausages will be, because chicken is lean meat.
Finely chop a bunch of fresh dill, add to the minced meat. In addition to dill, you can put any greens you like - parsley, celery or cilantro.
Season the mass with dried thyme, ground red pepper, add about a teaspoon of coarse salt without additives.
Pour the oat bran into a bowl. You can use wheat or rye instead of oatmeal, but oat bran will make gluten-free sausages.
Knead the ingredients thoroughly. It is best to place the mixture on a large cutting board and chop with a sharp knife for 5 minutes.
Soak bamboo skewers for 10 minutes in cold water. Divide the minced meat into 4-5 equal parts. Dip your hands in cold water. We form long sausages, put a bamboo skewer inside.
We clean the second onion head, cut into rings 5 millimeters thick. Sprinkle a baking sheet with a non-stick coating with vegetable oil, put a layer of onions, on top of raw sausages on skewers. We put the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
We heat the oven to temperatures of 220 degrees Celsius. Place the baking sheet on the middle shelf and bake for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, turn on the grill, cook under the grill for another 4-5 minutes, until golden, appetizing.
