Mushroom pie on kefir in the oven is a simple homemade pastry to be prepared in late autumn, coming from the forest with a basket full of forest gifts. Mushroom pie on kefir is incredibly simple, the most time consuming in its preparation is boiling mushrooms. Such jellied pies can be prepared not only with the gifts of the forest, but also with meat, chicken, ordinary boiled sausage or sausages. By the way, nothing prevents you from adding any of the above products to this recipe, it will only turn out tastier. It is important to remember that chicken and meat should be boiled or fried, never raw!
Canned mushrooms are also suitable for the recipe, it is better to take salted rather than pickled ones, as the vinegar will spoil the taste of the filling.

Ingredients for kefir mushroom pie
- 500 g of forest mushrooms;
- 120 g of onions;
- 120 g carrots;
- 60 g bell pepper;
- 30 g parsley;
- 70 g of hard cheese;
- 50 g butter;
- 2-3 eggs;
- 100 ml of kefir;
- 300 g wheat flour;
- 7 g baking powder;
- vegetable oil, soda, salt, pepper.
Method for preparing a threshold with mushrooms on kefir
We start by making the filling. Chop the onions finely. Rub the carrots coarsely. Fry the onions and carrots in heated vegetable oil until soft.
Soak forest mushrooms in cold water, put them in a colander, rinse thoroughly.
We put the mushrooms in a saucepan with hot water, after boiling, drain the water, wash the mushrooms and send them back to the saucepan with boiling water. Salt to taste, cook for 30-40 minutes.
Throw it back on a sieve, then cut it finely, and the mushroom broth is useful for soup or sauce.
Next, clean the bell pepper from seeds, cut into cubes. Finely chop a bunch of parsley. We rub hard cheese on a coarse grater.
In a deep bowl, mix the fried onions and carrots, chopped boiled mushrooms, bell pepper, grated cheese and parsley.
Add a piece of softened butter, since the ingredients are warm, you don't need to melt the butter on purpose, it will melt by itself.
Then we break the chicken eggs into a bowl and add kefir. Instead of kefir, you can use sour milk, yogurt or low-fat sour cream.
Pour sifted flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, baking powder, freshly ground black pepper into a bowl, salt to taste.
We knead the dough thoroughly so that no lumps of wheat flour remain in it.
Grease the form with butter, dust with flour. We spread the dough in an even layer.
We heat the oven to a temperature of about 185 degrees Celsius. We set the form to the middle level of the oven. Cooking for 40 minutes.
We cut the ready-made pie with mushrooms on kefir into squares, serve warm or cold.
