Lazy cabbage rolls with mushroom hodgepodge is a quick recipe for those who are not too lazy in the fall and stocked up on various homemade pickles. You will need a mushroom hodgepodge with cabbage and a thick vegetable or tomato sauce in which cabbage rolls will be stewed. If there are no household supplies on the farm, then blanks from the nearest grocery store will do, since in our time there are plenty of this good on the shelves. The dish turns out to be satisfying, two darlings are enough for one serving of an adult, and if you pour them abundantly with sour cream and add a piece of fresh rye bread, then you definitely won't want to eat before dinner!
I don’t know who and why called them lazy, in my opinion, this variety of cabbage rolls does not deserve a humiliating adjective from the keyword “laziness”. The dish is so simple and tasty that my family members do not mind eating it every day, since there are an incredible variety of cooking options - with meat, mushrooms, lean and even with fish!

- 500 g of mushroom hodgepodge;
- 500 g chicken or minced meat;
- 350 g of boiled rice;
- 250 g vegetable or tomato paste;
- 100 ml of water;
- 50 ml olive oil;
- sugar, salt, pepper, herbs.

So, put a half liter jar of mushroom hodgepodge with cabbage in a bowl. It must be remembered that there is usually a lot of salt in canned food, so the rest of the ingredients should be added with caution!
We pass the chicken fillet through a meat grinder, add to a bowl. This dish can be prepared with any minced meat, in my opinion, with chicken it turns out an easier version of the recipe.
Then add cold cooked rice to the bowl. So that the darlings stick well together and not crumble, it is better to use sticky rice varieties.
Thoroughly knead the minced meat, add salt to taste, pepper with freshly ground black pepper. Put the bowl in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
We make the sauce in which the dish will be stewed. Mix a thick vegetable paste with cold water and olive oil. Add sugar and salt to taste.
Take a refractory baking dish, pour the sauce into it. With wet hands we sculpt large oval cabbage rolls from minced meat, put in a mold with a small distance between them. From the specified amount, 9-12 pieces are obtained, depending on which size of cutlets you think is large.
We heat the oven to a temperature of 185 degrees Celsius. Place the mold in the middle of the oven and cook for 30 minutes. If the sauce evaporates a lot during cooking, just add some boiling water.
