You can prepare a delicious pie with apples and coconut for New Year's or Christmas table in less than an hour according to this recipe. New Year's recipes can be complex, often contain many ingredients, but this is not the case for my pie. Even a chef not experienced in confectionery can bake it without difficulty.

Do not rush to queue up for a cake in the store on the eve of a festive feast, prepare a pie with apples and coconut at home in the kitchen. Homemade baking creates coziness and a festive atmosphere in the house long before it starts!

Ingredients for the apple and coconut pie
- 125 g of premium wheat flour;
- 5 g baking powder;
- 5 g of ground orange peels or 1 orange zest;
- 100 g granulated sugar;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 50 ml of vegetable oil;
- 250 g apples;
- 50 g raisins;
- 20 g coconut flakes;
- butter, confectionery decorations.
How to make a delicious apple and coconut pie
We measure out the required amount of granulated sugar, pour it into a deep bowl. I advise you to take fine crystalline granulated sugar for the cake, it dissolves more easily in the dough.

Next, break two large eggs into a bowl, mix them with a whisk together with sugar to make a light yellow, smooth mass.

Add odorless refined vegetable oil to the beaten eggs. Oil can be anything - palm, corn, rapeseed. It is important that it is odorless.
Mix the liquid ingredients with a whisk.

Then pour sifted premium wheat flour into a bowl. For a healthy dessert, mix equal parts whole grain wheat flour and refined wheat flour.

Pour baking powder into the dough, carefully mix the products so that no lumps of flour remain.

Pour a flavoring agent into the dough - a powder from dried orange peels or grate the zest of a whole orange on a grater.

Wash fresh apples, remove the core, cut into small cubes, pour into a bowl.

Soak the raisins for several hours in warm water or brandy, dry them, add them to the dough after the apples.

Grease a refractory form or a deep cast-iron pan with butter, sprinkle with breadcrumbs. We spread the dough into the mold in an even layer.

Sprinkle coconut on the apple pie.

Coconut topping in a heated oven will quickly acquire a golden hue, and then burn. To preserve an appetizing crust, cover the form with food foil and send it to an oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius.

Bake under foil for 25 minutes, then remove foil and cook for another 15 minutes until golden brown.

Decorate the cooled cake with apples and coconut with pastry sprinkles. Happy Holidays!

By the way, there is an incredibly simple and mind-blowing taste impregnation for this cream-based apple and coconut pie. So, mix warm 10% cream with a small amount of brown sugar, pour the finished baked goods directly into the mold 20-30 minutes before serving. It turns out very tasty!
