9. Rose variety "Iceberg" (Cl., Iceberg)

In 1968 the legendary white-flowered Iceberg rose appeared on the market in the form of clasps. Thanks to the kidney mutation, the incomparable "Iceberg" ascended to new heights. This climber is considered the most reliable and unpretentious.

Rose-claymer, grade "Iceberg" (Cl., Iceberg)

Of all the characteristics of the base plant, the purely practical advantages of the claymer are best preserved. The illuminating effect of a rose is provided not only by flowers, but also by fairly light leaves. It is an almost studless clipper that lends itself well to shaping and grows well on walls. The foliage is very dense, which gives a feeling of special grandeur and classic beauty. Powerful, tough, numerous shoots are distinguished by almost perfect lines. The height of the bushes ranges from 2.5 to 5 m, depending on the climate.

The flowering of this climber is great. Cup-shaped and densely double, with an almost anemone-like structure, a light creamy shade, white flowers are collected in dense clusters of inflorescences and seem to glow from the inside. The flowers are not the largest, up to 7 cm in diameter, but they are very effective. The light scent seems to emphasize how elegant this claymer is.

The rose bloom dates all summer. Under normal conditions, the iceberg continues to bloom from May to October.

This is an unpretentious rose that feels good in diffused lighting. Any "average" conditions, including high-quality garden soils, will be fine for this climber.
