8. Rose variety "Mermaid", "Mermaid" (Cl., Mermaid)

Among the non-double clammers with especially beautiful flowers, this variety is the absolute leader. Presented at an exhibition in 1918, the Claymer quickly won fans over with its glowing tenderness and ability to grow rapidly. This is one of the varieties that need protection for the winter, but shade-tolerant varieties.

The charming Rusalka rose is an energetic, fast and actively growing, difficult to control claymer with a slightly disordered structure and disobedient shoots. It is excellent for defensive plantings due to its strong thorniness (sharp thorns of this rose require very careful handling).
