Method of cooking beetroot cutlets with apples and flax seeds
Wash the beets with a brush, boil until tender, then put in cold water for a few minutes. Peel the beets and rub them on a coarse grater.

Add apples grated on a coarse grater to the beets, you can peel them off, but this is not necessary.

Add a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar to the beets and apples, then add semolina and oatmeal. Mix the ingredients thoroughly. A mixture of semolina and oatmeal successfully replaces the absence of eggs in the dough, besides, these cereals make vegetable cutlets more satisfying.

Add flaxseeds to a bowl of beet dough, leave it for 15-20 minutes so that the semolina and oatmeal are saturated with juices and swell, this will make the dough sticky, and the cutlets will easily mold.

We form small flat cutlets, roll them in semolina. You can roll the patties in bread crumbs or oatmeal, whichever you prefer.

Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan, fry the patties for 3 minutes on each side, then put them in a saucepan with a thick bottom, cover and simmer for about 7 minutes under the lid.

You can cook cutlets in the oven. Cover the baking sheet with parchment, grease it with olive or vegetable oil, lay out the cutlets and bake for 25 minutes in an oven preheated to 170 degrees.

Fry white sesame seeds in a dry frying pan until golden brown, add a teaspoon of black sesame seeds to it (just for beauty). Roll the finished beet cutlets with apples and flax seeds in sesame seeds, serve, sprinkle with green onions.

Beet cutlets with apples and flax seeds are ready. Bon Appetit!
