Method of making cookies for Halloween "Witch Kitty"
Making the dough. Grind butter with powdered sugar or fine sugar until a homogeneous mass is obtained, add raw yolk to it (preferably from a large egg), then a spoonful of cream or milk. Separately mix wheat flour with vanilla and ground cinnamon, combine both mixtures, knead the dough. It can be wrapped in foil or plastic and stored in the freezer for up to a month.
To cut Kitty out of dough, you first need to make a paper template. The picture shows the height of the cookie in centimeters, and the inner lines are used to apply the icing to the cookies.
Divide the dough into small pieces of the same size. We take one piece (it is better to keep the rest in the refrigerator at this time), roll it out with a layer of 6-7 millimeters to a size of 15x15 centimeters. Cut out the witch Kitty according to the pattern, transfer to a baking sheet covered with a silicone mat. Then we also cut out the rest of the cookies.
Preheat the oven to 165-170 degrees Celsius. We bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool the finished cookies on a baking sheet without removing!
Cooking the icing. In a deep bowl, grind the raw protein with powdered sugar until a very thick, bright white mass is obtained. This is the easiest way to make sweet paint for painting. Roll the cornet out of cellophane, fill it with white glaze and draw the witch's face and paws on the cookies according to the sketch.
The next icing color can be applied to the cookies after about 15-20 minutes. Add black food coloring to a part of the white glaze, paint over the hat, draw the witch's mantle.
For the broom that every self-respecting witch has, you need a little yellow icing. We draw a broom and a button on the nose when the black robe dries up.
The black hat must have the most recognizable detail of Kitty's wardrobe - her red bow. We mix the red glaze and make bows for all the witches.
Draw the eyes and mustache with a black food marker, about 30 minutes after applying the last layer of glaze.
We put ready-made baby biscuits "Kitty Witch" in a place out of the reach of children for 10 hours. Although the top layer of the glaze seems to be quite durable, the inside is damp. You can ruin your work by accidentally damaging your drawing. You can dry cookies with icing only at room temperature, never use the oven for this!
