Most often, we use it in baby food, and very rarely eat it ourselves. And in vain, because broccoli dishes are not only healthy, but also very tasty. Therefore, I suggest you cook broccoli with mushrooms. A wonderful recipe not only for vegetarians, but also an appetizing vegetable side dish for chicken or veal.
Ingredients for making broccoli with mushrooms
- Broccoli - 800 grams;
- Mushrooms - 600-700 grams;
- Vegetable oil - 3-4 tablespoons;
- Garlic - 5-6 teeth;
- Salt and pepper to taste.
How to cook broccoli with mushrooms
We wash and divide broccoli into inflorescences, peel the garlic, prepare the mushrooms.
We take a large saucepan, pour water into it, add some salt, and after boiling, throw broccoli inflorescences there.
At this time, we take the second large container, we collect cold water into it, ideally with ice.
After 5-7 minutes, we take out the broccoli from the boiling water and put it in ice water to quickly stop the cooking process, because we need cabbage, not mashed potatoes from it.
While the cabbage is cooling down, cut the mushrooms into slices and fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown. If you want to enrich the taste, then add 30 grams of butter to the vegetable oil, and if you want to make it even healthier, then brown the mushrooms in olive oil.
Remove the broccoli from the container and leave it on a paper towel to let the water glass.
Divide the cabbage into smaller inflorescences and add to the mushrooms. Squeeze 5-6 cloves of garlic through the garlic, sprinkle with finely chopped herbs and fry together for no more than 5 minutes.
After five minutes of frying, the broccoli with mushrooms is ready to eat! You can serve this dish to the table as a side dish, or as a separate vegetable appetizer.
