Oven baked chicken with potatoes in a roasting sleeve. This is a really simple and quick recipe: all you need to do is mix the food, wrap it in a sleeve and send it to the oven. It will take less than an hour to prepare a delicious dinner or lunch. The chicken meat turns out to be tender and juicy, moreover, it is cooked simultaneously with a vegetable side dish.
This method of cooking chicken is suitable for dietary meals, since the fat content in the dish is minimal - it is cooked in its own juice. Peel the chicken to further reduce fat and reduce calorie portions.

Ingredients for baked chicken and potatoes
- 700 g chicken thighs;
- 500 g potatoes;
- 150 g carrots;
- 100 g of onions;
- 2 cloves of garlic;
- 5 g cumin;
- 5 g ground paprika;
- 5 g chicken curry;
- 15 ml of vegetable oil;
- salt, herbs, hot pepper pod.
Cooking oven baked chicken with potatoes
To quickly cook baked chicken, you need to get rid of the bones, without them, the cooking time will be reduced by about 15-20 minutes. We take chicken thighs, make an incision along the bone, separate the meat. The bones can be frozen for use in the broth.
For a dietary recipe, remove the chicken skin.
Next, take a large deep bowl or saucepan and put all the ingredients in it in turn.
If you like food with peppercorns, then cut the hot chili pod into rings together with the seeds, add to the chicken. If pungent food is not popular on your menu, you can add half a bell pepper for aroma and taste.
Then put the carrots, cut into small cubes, in a bowl with chicken.
Cut the onions coarsely. We pass the garlic cloves through a press. Add garlic and onion to the rest of the ingredients.
Now put peeled and coarsely chopped potatoes to the chicken. In the summer we add young potatoes, they need to be washed with a brush, it is not necessary to peel them. The small potato tubers do not need to be cut.
Add seasonings and spices to the chicken and potatoes. Add 2 teaspoons of table salt, caraway seeds, ground red paprika, chicken curry. Pour high-quality vegetable oil, mix everything together with your hands so that the oil and seasonings evenly cover the chicken with potatoes and vegetables.
Take a baking sleeve, cut off the required length, tie one edge. We put chicken and potatoes in the sleeve, tie the second edge. The ties should not be tight, during the baking process steam forms and it needs to go somewhere, therefore, so that the film does not burst, we make weak ties.
Place the packaged chicken and potatoes in a refractory baking dish with a thick bottom. We heat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
We put the dish with chicken and potatoes in the center of the oven, cook for 35-40 minutes. We take out the form, after about 5 minutes, carefully cut the film - the steam can burn you, be careful!
