Trifle with strawberries is a light dessert common in England, the USA and Scotland. I think such a dish is cooked everywhere, only it is called differently. Trifle consists of 3 - 4 layers: fresh fruit or fruit jelly, biscuits or biscuits, whipped cream. Usually custard is prepared for the interlayer, but for a light dessert they prefer to do without it, whipped cream is enough.
Strawberry Trifle is something magical! Do not deny yourself the pleasure when the first berries appear! Fragrant strawberries, delicate biscuit, airy cream, what could be tastier!
Trifle with strawberries is prepared in a deep transparent salad bowl so that the layers are visible. There is also a special shape - a deep transparent container on a leg with a high rim.

Strawberry Trifle Ingredients
- 500 g fresh strawberries;
- 300 g 33% cream;
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar;
- 2 teaspoons cream thickener
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 100 g biscuit cookies;
- cocoa powder;
- cognac (optional).
Method for preparing trifle with strawberries
My berries, remove the stalks, cut into small cubes. Put butter in a frying pan, then chopped strawberries, heat until the butter melts.
Pour sugar on the strawberries, shake the pan, as soon as the sugar melts, remove from heat. With such a quick heat treatment, strawberries will not lose their bright color or aroma.
Cool the berries immediately, you can put the pan in a bowl of cold water.
Pour heavy cream into a tall mixer glass, add icing sugar and cream thickener there. The amount of powdered sugar can be increased if you like sweets.
Whisk the cream, thickener and icing sugar until stable peaks.
Put half the strawberries in a deep transparent salad bowl or in a special trifle dish (the same salad bowl, only on a leg).
Place the cream in a pastry bag with a nozzle, put half of the cream on the berries.
Next, chop the biscuit cookies on whipped cream, sprinkle the cookies with cognac, if this is a dessert for adults.
It is better to choose soft cookies for trifle so that the crumbs can easily absorb the cognac or fruit juice.
Put the remaining berries on the biscuit cookies.
Next, make a layer of whipped cream. If you apply the "star" attachment, you can lay out a beautiful layer.
We take cocoa powder, pour a teaspoon into a fine strainer, carefully powder the trifle with cocoa.
Cut the strawberries with stalks along. Decorate the trifle with fresh berries and serve immediately. Bon appetit, prepare simple and light desserts from fresh berries!
It is undesirable to store trifle with strawberries; it must be cooked immediately before serving. However, if you cook the berries for a longer time, then cool completely, and add a couple more tablespoons of thickener to the cream so that they become very dense, then the trifle can be stored in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
