The fruit has darkened, and there is a white larva inside - this is the result of infection of the fruit by a cherry fly. Small insects with a black abdomen and chest, shining in the sun, and a yellow head, they develop their "activity" in the south in April, and in the middle lane - before and after flowering. In addition to cherries and cherries, the fly damages honeysuckle and barberry.
The next omnivorous pest is various types of aphids, including gallic. Red, reddish-yellow swellings on currant leaves are not a disease, but the result of the action of gall aphids that settle on the underside of currant leaves. The fight against all types of aphids must be started even in the budding phase, but if time is lost, then when the garden is treated with a tank mixture of preparations, these pests, especially gall aphids, will also be destroyed.
In June, other pests, including moths, leaf rollers, various types of moths, honey moths, and ticks, intensively feed and reproduce. There is no need to explain that the fight with special drugs against each pest separately is meaningless. Now the chemical industry offers a wide range of products with an extended spectrum of action against several pests. However, chemicals cannot be used at home. They have a waiting period of at least 20 days and no one will give a guarantee that a child, a pet, and even adults, will not eat an early ripe berry or fruit.
Therefore, in small private gardens and dachas, it is necessary to protect all types of plants from pests, but with harmless biological preparations prepared in tank mixtures. With such a complex solution, it is possible to remove a massive defeat in 1-3 treatments, and in the future, until the end of the growing season, maintain the garden, berry and vegetable garden in a condition clean from pests.
Preparation and use of biological products
All biological products are made on the basis of living microorganisms, which are natural enemies of pests. They are not as effective in single use as chemical ones, but they also have a waiting time of 1-5 days instead of 20.
From biological products, a godsend for gardeners is actofit (synonym acarin). This bioinsecticide is non-addictive and acts as an intestinal and contact poison for pests. When applied regularly with a gap of 10-12 days, it quickly and effectively destroys all types of moths, moths, leaf beetles, flower beetles, aphids, ticks, sawflies and soil nematodes during soil cultivation. When using acarin, the waiting period is 2 days, that is, after 2 days, cleanly washed fruits and berries can be eaten without consequences. For beginner gardeners who do not know how or do not have time to prepare tank mixtures, Aktofit is a godsend. It is especially possible to recommend the use of acarine on multi-harvest crops, whose yields ripen gradually over a certain time.
The following insecticides, including acarin, can be effectively used in tank mixes. Since they act only on certain groups of pests, when applied together, they increase their effectiveness.
Bioinsecticides combine systemic and contact action on pests, which accelerates the death of the latter. These include the summer resident, fitoverm, bitoxibacillin, lepidocid, verticill, boverin and others.
Among the disadvantages is the short duration of the drug (1-2-3 weeks), which requires repeated treatments. But the saved health compensates for the increased time spent on gardening. In this case, tank mixtures serve as a lifesaver, reducing the number of treatments by simultaneously destroying a large number of pests.
How to properly prepare the tank mix
Often in the recommendations for the use of mixtures there is an expression “check for compatibility before preparation”. For newbies, it may be necessary to clarify what compatibility means and how to check it.
An example. It is necessary to prepare a mixture of 2-3-4 biological products against pests and diseases. To do this, it is necessary to prepare, according to the recommendations, each solution separately (1 liter each). Then mix 50-100 g each, adding one ingredient to the original solution. Poured into one 2 solution of 50 g, mixed thoroughly and left for 5-10 minutes. If the mixture has not changed its visible qualities (a precipitate has appeared, the color has changed, the solution has become gelatinous, etc.), then the preparations are compatible. If the solution has changed, we exclude the last drug from the mixture and repeat the whole procedure with the next one. If the necessary biological products are compatible, we prepare each of the required amount (3-5-10 liters) separately and only then merge together, mix thoroughly and process the cultures.
