Therefore, it is better to tie up the bushes in small sheaves and enclose with supports. You will have to work a little, but such a composition will become a real decoration of a flower garden. The distance between plants is 40-50 cm.

Propagate it by dividing the bush in the fall or from seeds. The plant grows rapidly, so the bushes are planted every 3-4 years. Seeds are sown in open soil before winter or in April, for seedlings - in February-March.

Using heliopsis in garden design

Heliopsis is used as a tapeworm, in group plantings, mixborders, as a hedge, for cutting. Cut flowers do not lose their decorative effect for a long time. The beauty of these cheerful plants can be especially emphasized by blue flowers: asters, bells, delphiniums and others.

If you want to create a monosad in sunny colors, plant marigolds, rudbeckia and other yellow flowers nearby. At the end of the season, the stems are cut at soil level. In one place, heliopsis can grow for decades.

Despite all its advantages, heliopsis is not very common in our flower beds. But in vain. There is never too much sun. By the way, there are many "sunny flowers". In addition to the actual sunflower (helianthus) and heliopsis, there is also helichrisum, heliotrope, helipterum and heliantemum.
