Therefore, depending on the composition of the soil, it is necessary in the fall, when digging the earth, to apply organic and mineral fertilizers. If a site with sandy soil, add a bucket of peat and 3-4 kg of humus for each meter. If the soil is clayey, it is necessary to add 3-4 kg of peat and humus with sawdust for each meter. If you have peat soils on your site, then you need to add a bucket of sod land for every meter, and also scatter a teaspoon of superphosphate, as well as potassium sulfate, wood ash on the ground. To prepare seeds for sowing, improve germination and get friendly shoots, the seeds are soaked in nutrient solutions for one day. Then the seeds are covered with a damp cloth and left for 2 days, wetting the cloth daily. The optimum temperature for germination is 23 degrees.

Zucchini seeds are sown from early May to mid-June. In each hole, to a depth of 3 cm, two or three seeds are sown at a distance of 50 cm between the holes. When all seeds germinate, one sprout is left, the strongest, the rest are removed. After sowing the seeds, the site is covered with a transparent film; in case of frost, the bed must be additionally insulated with a covering material.

The film can be removed from the garden from mid-June. Zucchini care consists in regular watering. It is necessary to water zucchini under the root system once a week with 5 liters of water per meter. It is impossible to water the plants with too cold water, as root decay is possible. Too frequent watering is also harmful for zucchini, as the root system is exposed. Therefore, plant roots must be mulched.

Loosening and hilling zucchini is not carried out, since the roots can be easily damaged.

When plants begin to bloom, manual pollination is necessary. Use a cotton swab to transfer pollen from flower to flower.

For the entire period of plant growth, it must be fed several times. The first feeding is done before flowering with liquid organic fertilizers. Then another top dressing is carried out during flowering with wood ash or again with organic fertilizers. During the ripening of the fruits, fertilizing with nitrophos is also carried out.

Zucchini is harvested at least 1-2 times a week. It is necessary to collect fruits that have reached 25 cm in length.
