In particular, the recent conclusions of researchers from the University of Michigan and Arizona (USA) confirmed the powerful anti-inflammatory properties of cherries - both of its fruits and decoctions from leaves, cuttings, which heal the cardiovascular system and organs. However, this plant was considered medicinal by St. Hildegard (1098-1179), who recommended its fruits, juice, decoction of cuttings for the treatment of gastritis, constipation, heartburn. As for the latter, there is such a paradox: seemingly sour cherry slows down the formation of pepsin (gastric hydrochloric acid), acting, as it was recently revealed, according to the principle of an inhibitor (from Latin inhibere - to delay, slow down) a "proton pump", that is, it is an effective antacid means, not worse than drugs such as omeprazole, ranitidine. The healer also believed that every person, especially women, should eat at least 5 kg of cherries per season. Modern biochemists and nutritionists recommend consuming at least 200 g of ripe berries daily. Cuttings also, as they say, go into business.
