Video: Kefir Muffins Stuffed With Strawberries. Step-by-step Recipe With Photo

Kefir muffins stuffed with strawberries are a delicious summer dessert that you can pamper yourself with during the strawberry season. Muffins, in my opinion, are a great packaging for any berry filling, be it blueberries, blackberries, raspberries or strawberries. Any filling can be mixed into a thick sweet dough and delicious muffins can be prepared in less than an hour. By the way, wild berries are also suitable for the recipe, they are very aromatic and tasty.

The one who invented muffins truly benefited the lazy sweet tooth! After all, it takes very little time to prepare a small treat, unlike baking cakes, pies or cheesecakes. You will have time to bake muffins for breakfast if you have an extra half hour in stock.

Method of making muffins on kefir stuffed with strawberries
Pour fresh kefir or unsweetened yogurt into a deep container.

We measure the required amount of granulated sugar, mix with kefir. To balance the taste, add fine table salt to the tip of the knife.
By the way, to add a caramel flavor to the baked goods, instead of white sugar, try making a dough with brown or add 2 tablespoons of dark honey.

Beat the ingredients with a whisk, break a raw chicken egg into a bowl. To prepare this amount of dough, one large egg is enough.

Melt the butter, cool to room temperature, add to the liquid ingredients. Instead of butter, you can melt butter margarine or use unscented vegetable oil.

Mix the liquid ingredients with the sifted wheat flour and baking powder, and add 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda.

Knead a thick and homogeneous dough without lumps. Put the garden strawberries in a colander, rinse with cold water, dry on a napkin. Add the berries to the dough, mix gently.

We lubricate silicone muffin molds from the inside with refined odorless vegetable oil. We fill the forms with 3/4 dough so that there is room for its rise.
We put the forms on a baking sheet. In a gas oven, muffins can burn, so I put the silicone in thick metal molds. For reliability, you can pour a tablespoon of hot water into metal molds - baked goods will definitely not burn in a water bath.

We heat the oven to a temperature of 180 degrees Celsius. Place the muffin pan in the center of the heated oven. We bake for 20-25 minutes.

Sprinkle ready-made kefir muffins stuffed with strawberries with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries. Serve to the table with a cup of milk, cream or tea.

During the berry season, take several types of berries (raspberries, blueberries, strawberries), divide the dough into 3 parts and bake 3 types of muffins at the same time. Variety is always nice!
Kefir muffins stuffed with strawberries are ready. Bon Appetit!
