By itself, chamomile is a powerful source of various nutrients. It is rich in vitamins, polysaccharides and flavonoids. The flavonoids of chamomile flowers contain twice as much as the flowers and herbs of such well-known medicinal plants as medicinal marigold or yarrow.

In addition, dry baskets of chamomile contain derivatives of apigenin, luteolin and quercetin, coumarins, polyyne compounds, free organic acids, phytosterols, tannins and mucous substances, bitterness, gum, carotene, protein substances, as well as glycosides apigenin and herniarin. On top of that, it contains azulene. Dry flower baskets contain chamomile essential oil. And all this wealth is necessary for our body.

In modern scientific medicine, infusions and decoctions of flower baskets of chamomile and its essential oil are used. Chamomile flowers are used as a part of gastric, diaphoretic and emollient preparations inward and outward.

But if you have your own summer cottage or plot, then you have the opportunity to grow and stock up on pharmacy chamomile in abundance.

Before you start growing this pharmacy chamomile, you need to decide on the place that you will allocate for it on your site. Basically, you don't need a lot of space. One or two square meters is enough. The highest yields can be obtained when the plant is grown on fertile soils that are free from weeds. Remember that chamomile is very fond of sunlight. This point is also very important to consider when choosing a place.

Three sowing periods of chamomile are permissible: winter (in July - August), subwinter and early spring. Seedlings with spring and winter crops appear in 10-20 days. When sowing podzimnym shoots appear in early spring.

Prepare the soil before planting. In principle, this process is not much different from similar processes used for other plants. Digging and fertilizing, the usual activities for any summer resident.
