Planting honeysuckle honeysuckle

Honeysuckle honeysuckle prefers well-lit places, nutritious light and sufficiently moist soil. Hardy, gas-resistant, moisture-loving. It is not affected by pests and diseases.

Honeysuckle honeysuckle is planted mainly in spring in a permanent place in loose, well-moistened soil, mixed with rotted manure or compost. Depending on the purpose, planting is carried out in a landing pit or a prepared trench.

Subsequently, replanting the plant is not recommended. If the plant is planted in spring, quite long young shoots will appear by the end of the season. With good care for a year, honeysuckle can give an increase of about 2 meters.

In order for the honeysuckle to develop and grow vertically, it will require support. Without supports, the vine will not rise, and the higher the support, the higher the plant will rise. For 5-6 years, honeysuckle can grow up to five meters, of course, if the support allows it.

Honeysuckle honeysuckle responds very well to fertilizing with mineral and organic fertilizers. In case of feeding with manure, we remind you that the manure must be rotted.

Honeysuckle honeysuckle is quite hardy. Therefore, it is not at all necessary to cut the long annual whips of honeysuckle every winter. It is quite enough for young plants to mulch the root zone with peat or dry leaves, or cover the bush with spruce branches. This is done only during the first two years after planting, and then honeysuckle honeysuckle hibernates perfectly.

In the spring, when you can see which part of the lash is frozen and which has survived, they perform sanitary pruning. It is necessary to prune and remove frozen shoots - shoots on which buds are not formed.

The use of honeysuckle honeysuckle in landscaping

Honeysuckle honeysuckle is often used as an ornamental garden plant for vertical landscaping. It is quite unpretentious, grows quickly and tolerates formative pruning well. The beautifully flowering liana is suitable for vertical gardening of walls of buildings, balconies, windows, terraces, decorating gazebos, pergolas, trellises.

By planting a vine in full sun, you will achieve very abundant flowering, but the plant can develop in partial shade. In partial shade, the bush will develop more powerfully, and the vine will be tall, but it will no longer bloom profusely.
