According to Part One, we began work on the new site by planting the most unpretentious and no less wonderful perennials. And now, perhaps, we need to think about how to turn a simple 6 acres into a garden with a special atmosphere: cozy corners and shaded places.

Vines - climbing or climbing plants do not have a solid stem, but at the same time they are struggling to reach the sun, finding a suitable support.

Pergola
Pergola

Taking advantage of this, you can disguise any little aesthetic, but necessary object, create a secluded corner, hidden from prying eyes, to provide a shadow in the gazebo. And we will not start with wisteria, although it is beautiful, but again with the most irreplaceable and very fast-growing plants in the middle zone and the Urals.

Let's start with hops and girly grapes

Hops grow rapidly and literally in 1 - 2 years a huge bush with dozens of shoots up to 4 - 5 meters long grows from a pair of shoots. This climbing plant is easiest to grow on a support pole or old tree. An amazing composition can be obtained if the shoots are directed in time. All the huge green mass of leaves completely dies off in winter, only rhizomes remain underground.

In the spring, after a couple of weeks, their shoots appear quite amicably and grow at an amazing speed - several tens of centimeters per day. More and more greenery grows every year. It should be noted that hops have healing properties: dry flowers, rather indistinct, fill pillows from insomnia. Bracts are used to add a special flavor to beer.

Hops grow on any soil, winter-hardy, practically does not require maintenance, but its growing shoots must be directed where you intended. Otherwise, the bush will spread in all directions.

Five-leaf maiden grape

Maiden grapes grow on any soil, both in the sun and in the shade. Easy to care for, propagated by seeds and cuttings. This is a hardy liana that loses leaves for the winter, can reach lengths of up to 10 - 12 meters. The girlish grapes easily cover the walls of the building, hedges, clinging to the surface with suction cups. Its leaves are five-leafed, in summer they are bright green, in autumn they are crimson, very beautiful. Branches and leaves are intertwined, decorating any structure.

Calistegia
Calistegia

The loach from Siberia is very unpretentious - calistegia. Grows anywhere, flowers, unlike the first named two vines, are bright, pink-white. But the length of the shoot is no more than 4 meters, but this is quite enough to decorate a gazebo or balcony. One problem is that its rhizome instantly spreads in all directions and the loach suddenly appears where it was not expected and begins to choke all plants in a row. It can only be grown under its own strict control.

Nasturtium
Nasturtium

Much more modest behaves nasturtium, but it requires care, and much more. To please the eye and soul, it is advisable to plant foreign nasturtium, which grows up to 4 meters. The seeds are buried in the ground in early June in a sunny and frost-protected place, after a couple of weeks it is a good idea to feed them with complex fertilizers. Blooms profusely with yellow flowers until frost. Suitable for decorating pergola and gazebo. The plant in our climate is cultivated as an annual.
