Video: Whey Mannik With Pumpkin. Step-by-step Recipe With Photo

Mannik with pumpkin is a simple sweet dish that can be baked by a novice cook. The whey dough is tasty and tender. Usually this curd by-product is thrown away, but don't rush! Whey can be used to make a lot of great dishes, from drinks to pies and pancakes.

For sweet pastries, take butternut squash with a bright orange pulp, be sure to add ground cinnamon to the dough, which will emphasize the spicy aroma of the pumpkin.
The mannik will turn out to be juicy, tender, it just melts in your mouth. I advise you to bake a manna from half of the pumpkin, and from the rest of it, cook pumpkin jam or make jam. The dish can be served to the table like this: cut off a piece of pie, pour over sour cream, adding a generous portion of jam! It remains to make a cup of tea and enjoy homemade delicious food!

Method for preparing manna with pumpkin on whey
Pour granulated sugar into a bowl, add a pinch of fine salt, pour in the milk whey. I have whey left over from making homemade cottage cheese, however, you can also buy it in the store.

Break the chicken eggs into a bowl, mix the products with a whisk until smooth.

Cut the pumpkin into two parts, remove the seeds, cut off the peel. We rub the pumpkin pulp on a coarse grater, add to the liquid ingredients.

We measure the required amount of semolina, pour into a bowl.

We mix the baking powder with wheat flour, sift, add to the rest of the ingredients. For a healthy and tasty meal, replace regular refined flour with whole grain and brown sugar for white sugar.

Melt the butter in a saucepan, cool. Add melted butter, ground cinnamon and dried fruits to a bowl. For a variety of textures, in addition to dried fruits, you can put finely chopped walnuts, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds in the dough.

Mix the ingredients with a whisk, leave for 20-30 minutes at room temperature so that the cereal absorbs moisture and swells a little.

Grease a baking dish or a deep cast-iron pan with butter, sprinkle with flour, pour out the dough, level with a spatula.

We heat the oven to a temperature of 185 degrees Celsius. We put the pan in the center of the oven on the middle level. Depending on the individual characteristics of the stove, we cook for 35-40 minutes. We check the readiness with a splinter - there should be no traces of the dough on it.

Sprinkle the cooled manna with pumpkin with powdered sugar and decorate with candied pumpkin jam.

Serve manna on whey with pumpkin with tea or warm milk, pour sour cream and jam before serving. Bon Appetit!
