Cheese appetizer "Mandarinki" - a popular salad of processed cheese with garlic, eggs and mayonnaise in a new look. Such a salad was prepared for the festive table by our grandmothers. I remember this dish well from childhood, many delicacies were relegated to the background for its sake. But I recently came up with the idea of “packing” the appetizer in a peel of carrots to make the tangerines just like real ones. Carrots successfully complement the rest of the ingredients, the main thing is to cook them correctly, in this case boiled ones will not work.

Ingredients for Mandarin Cheese Snack
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 1 processed cheese (100 g);
- 30 g butter;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- 70 g mayonnaise;
- 2 large carrots;
- 15 ml olive oil;
- vegetable oil, salt, sugar, paprika, apple cider vinegar;
- small bay leaves and carnations.

Grate half of the chilled butter and cooled processed cheese on a coarse grater. Any cheese like "Friendship", "Orbit" and the like is suitable for this cheese snack.

Boil large chicken eggs until tender, cool completely, also rub on a coarse grater. Add shredded eggs to cheese and butter.
Peel a large clove of garlic, cut it in half. We remove the sprout from the garlic so that the salad does not turn out to be very vigorous. Chop the garlic - pass it through a press or rub it on a fine grater.
We add mayonnaise, for this recipe for a cheese snack I advise fatty mayonnaise, preferably olive, it will be tastier with it.



Mix thoroughly, taste, salt and pepper to taste.

Now we will deal with the "tangerine peel". Grate fresh carrots on a fine (cheese) grater. Put the remaining butter in the pan, add the vegetable oil, put the carrots. Salt to taste, add 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar, add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. We fry the carrots until soft, stir so that they do not burn - where have you seen the overcooked tangerines? Cooked carrots taste like the ones cooked for marinated fish.

We divide the chilled salad into 5-6 small portions, grease our hands with vegetable oil, roll the balls from the salad, put them on the board.

Cool the carrots completely. Put 3 teaspoons of fried carrots on the palm of your hand, then a ball of lettuce, carefully roll the ball in the carrot on all sides.

Insert small bay leaves into the tangerines from above. If the leaves are brown, then you can try to revive the color - put the leaves in boiling water for a few minutes, if the laurel is fresh, then the leaves will become brighter.
