Red fish soup is a delicious first course worth trying! But when you look at the price tag with salmon or salmon, your hand reaches for the usual hake? Stop! We will still cook a gorgeous royal soup with red fish! There is a solution - this is salmon ridge soup. In terms of cost, it is an order of magnitude more budgetary than steak soup or whole fish, and in taste and usefulness - on an equal footing.
Ingredients for fish soup
- For 2.5-3 liters of water - 1 salmon ridge;
- 3-5 medium potatoes;
- 1 carrot;
- 1 onion;
- Salt - about 1 tablespoon without top;
- Spices: black peppercorns - 10-12 pcs.; bay leaf - 1-2 things.
And if there is fresh herbs, then dill and parsley will be very useful for the soup.
Method for making delicious salmon ridge soup
Peel and wash vegetables; cut the potatoes into small cubes, the carrots - in circles or strips, and the onions can be put in the soup whole, in halves or crumbled.
When the water in the saucepan boils, pour the potatoes and carrots into it, and cook with a slight boil under the lid for about 15 minutes - until half cooked.
Rinse the salmon ridge, the tail and fins can be cut off and given to a neighbor's cat. Cut the rest into pieces 5-7 cm wide and put them in a saucepan with vegetables. You can put the whole ridge of the fish in the pan. We will send both the onion and the bay leaf there.
We continue to cook everything together for another 5-7 minutes, then add spices: salt, peppercorns (we added the bay leaf along with the fish). Seasonings in such a company give the fish soup a delicious aroma and mouth-watering taste!
Together with spices, add chopped herbs, if any. Let the soup boil for another 2-3 minutes and turn it off.
It is convenient to first peel the pieces of fish from the bones, and then enjoy the delicious fish soup without hindrance.
