Festive snack "Christmas balls" - a portioned dish for the New Year's snack table. This is a salad with cheese and chicken in the form of balls, breaded with parsley and walnuts. It turns out simple and very tasty. It looks presentable on a festive table, and is prepared in less than half an hour. By the way, if you have already invented a menu for the New Year, then still save this recipe. Suddenly there will be a fried chicken or turkey after a feast, then on January 1, you can use the leftovers from a festive dinner to prepare this snack.

Ingredients for the "Christmas balls" snack
- 150 g boiled or fried chicken;
- 1 processed cheese "Druzhba";
- 2-3 chicken eggs, boiled hard;
- 120 g of walnuts;
- 30 g parsley;
- 1 chilli pod
- 30 g sour cream;
- 50 g mayonnaise;
- salt and pepper to taste.
Method of preparing a festive snack "Christmas balls"
Cut the boiled or fried chicken into very small cubes. The meat for the Christmas balls festive snack should be very tender and literally disintegrate into fibers, so the balls are easier to mold. Instead of chicken, you can cook with turkey or any other boiled meat, as long as it is soft.
Place the "Druzhba" cheese in the freezer for 15 minutes, rub the chilled cheese on a coarse grater, add it to the salad bowl. Any semi-hard processed cheese is suitable for salad, I like "Druzhba" more.
Cool the hard-boiled chicken eggs, rub on a coarse grater, add to the rest of the ingredients.
Salt, pepper to taste, season with sour cream and mayonnaise. If you like hot snacks, then you can add a garlic clove passed through a press and ground chili.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly, you should get a thick mass that is easy to mold and does not lose shape. If the salad seems liquid, then this can be corrected - add grated parmesan, another boiled egg, in a word, any ingredient that suits the taste and makes the consistency thicker. We send the mixed salad to the refrigerator.
Meanwhile, peel the walnuts, rinse, dry in the oven or in a dry frying pan. Grind the cooled nuts in a blender to get a rather large crumb. Instead of walnuts, you can use pecans or hazelnuts for a holiday snack.
We cut off the parsley leaves from the stems, finely chop. Mix chopped parsley with chopped nuts in a plate. Parsley can be replaced with cilantro or dill.
Form a small ball of chilled salad with two teaspoons, put it on a plate with breading, roll the balls so that the breading completely covers them.
Put the finished appetizer on boards or plates, leave a small distance between the balls, put it in the refrigerator before serving.
