Vegetarian "fish" or Adyghe cheese wrapped in a nori leaf is a fake fish, and very tasty. This is the easiest vegetarian fish recipe. You can prepare such a "fish" for fasting by replacing the Adyghe cheese tofu. The recipe is original and, in my opinion, quite worthy. True, from the fish it only smells of algae, but otherwise it is very good and tasty. Most importantly, it takes no more than 15 minutes to cook, so this is a great idea for a quick dinner.

- 280 g of Adyghe cheese;
- 2 sheets of nori;
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- mineral water;
- sesame seeds and herbs for serving.
Method of cooking vegetarian "fish" from Adyghe cheese and nori
Cut a rectangular bar of Adyghe cheese into slices about 1.5-2 centimeters thick. If 280 g is divided into four servings, then the weight of one piece comes out 70 g, just what is needed for a vegetarian "fish".

Next, cut two sheets of nori algae in half with scissors. The leaves are almost square, so you can cut them on either side.
In a bowl, mix cold mineral water with soy sauce. Put nori on the board, moisten with a culinary brush with soy brine. Leave it for a minute to get the algae wet.
Put a block of cheese on the edge of the leaf, wrap it carefully. The strip of algae is quite long, so we wrap it twice, tuck the edges so that the cheese does not look out. If not packed tightly, the cheese can melt when frying, although this is unlikely.



We pack the remaining pieces in the same way. Wet nori adhere well and do not tear. But even if the strip breaks, don't worry! Just seal the gap with a new piece.

Heat a frying pan, sprinkle or grease with a drop of olive oil. Put cheese sticks wrapped in seaweed in a preheated frying pan, fry on moderate heat for 2-3 minutes on each side. By the way, you can fry in breading, but the dish will no longer be dietary. Prepared "fish" first roll in wheat flour, then in an egg, then - in bread crumbs. We fry in deep fat or in a large amount of refined vegetable oil. Excess oil can be removed by placing the finished dish on paper towels or napkins. The paper will absorb excess fat, the calorie content of the portion will slightly decrease.

Put the cheese on a plate, sprinkle with white sesame seeds, garnish with a leaf of parsley or sprinkle with finely chopped green onions. Vegetarian "fish" from Adyghe cheese and nori is ready. Serve immediately, this dish should be eaten hot. Bon Appetit.

For a side dish, I advise you to cook a simple seaweed salad with onions: finely chop the cabbage, chop the onion into thin half rings, mix. Season with a drop of rice or apple cider vinegar, soy sauce and olive oil. Serve all this vegetarian splendor with a slice of rye bread. It will be delicious!
