Introduced this topic in search engines and what opinions, sometimes directly opposite, contradictory, what miracles I found there, and what a categorical statement! Here are some of them, the most neutral ones: “There is a soul in all material bodies with signs of life. Life testifies to the presence of the soul. As long as a plant lives, grows, blooms - it has a soul. As soon as the soul leaves the plant, it immediately perishes. " Or here's another: “Of course, there is a soul in plants. I even set up experiments. I planted seedlings in 2 different trays. I constantly talked with some sprouts, praised them, asked them to grow well. And I, far from being a superstitious person, a rationalist, saw that the seedlings with which I communicated were stronger and grew faster than the one with which I did not communicate. Since then I have been talking to all the plants in the garden or at home,I stroke them with my hands and apologize for transplanting or pruning. And they have made me happy for many years."

Some flower fans cite lyrical lines of famous poets as proof of the presence of soul flowers, for example:

Do you think, man?

But are you the only one who has thought?

It is hidden in everything …

Flowers have a soul ready to open up.

Others refer to the experiences of their grandparents:

  • “Plants experience pain, joy, fear. Grandma always said that when you pluck a plant, ask him for forgiveness. We have long noticed how plants react to music, perceive hate and love. The ancients also talked about this. Paracelsus, in his Ocult Botany, argued that plants have a soul. I leave the garden and say goodbye to my greenfinches, I come and say hello. Ironing trunks, talking. I think they understand everything."
  • I think it has. There was such a case in my life. I took care of my old grandfather, and he grew a decorative tree on the balcony. I talked to him when I watered or just sat next to him. And so, when he died, a month later the tree was completely dry, although it was watered and looked after as well as grandfather. This is how it happens: it would seem that it was a tree, but grandfather was gone and the tree was gone."

There is such a version (there are several of them, different) about the discovery by the criminologist of the American special services Cleve Baxter, who made the existing interaction between people and plants public in 1966. Once Baxter was conducting an experiment with a dragon tree in his office. The large leaves of this plant were easy to attach to electrodes to measure changes in resistance to weak electrical current. Polygraph specialist Baxter wanted to know how long it would take for water to climb from the roots of a tree along its trunk to the tips of the leaves. He took matches to dry the sheet, as at the same time the polygraph suddenly showed a strong reaction. But he had not yet had time to burn the plant, he had only thought about it! It is believed that this amazing discovery marked the beginning of a new career for Baxter.because he continued to experiment with plants. Baxter's work is described in The Secret Life of Plants by Peter Tompkins and Christopher Byrd.

In order for the author to express his opinion on the question of the soul of plants, he, naturally, should begin by defining the very concept of "soul". There are many such definitions. Let's try to formulate only two. The first of them is the image of the soul (human, of course) according to Plato (427 - 347 BC). In his works, Plato compares the soul to a winged chariot. If in the chariot of the gods there are both horses and charioteers of noble birth, then among mortals one of the horses is beautiful, he is white, kind and obedient, ready to lift the charioteer to heaven, and the other is endowed with opposite qualities: he is black, heavy, wayward, disobedient and pulls chariot to the ground. Making a journey through the firmament, the souls of the gods and the souls of people contemplate the world of ideas and truth, which is ambrosia, the food of the soul. But in the soul, everything that is in the world of ideas is originally laid, albeit in an unmanifested form - just as the seed contains the knowledge of what it can and should become. The abilities that we already possess are the knowledge that were acquired earlier by our ancestors. It seems that we are talking not only about the ability to do good, but also to commit bad deeds inherent in people at the genetic level.

The second definition of the soul is more modern: it is, as it were, likened to a computer program embedded in a person (animal, plant). Here is the genetic program, and all the experience, knowledge and preferences of past generations. How not to recall the well-known expression: "Not a single sigh, not a single smile passes without a trace in the world." The program, laid down in a person's soul at birth, is continuously updated in the process of his life, in accordance with the requirements of society, its collective culture, the development of various teachings and false teachings.

They say that in the soul of every person is a desire for love and goodness, which is also proclaimed in the moral precepts of various religions. The ideal would be the option when the soul of each person would be programmed in accordance with the commandments of kindness and love of each of the existing religions, the main of which is "Do not do to others what you would not want to be done to you", although there are many other commandments very fair, humane and beautiful.

Wise people argue that their lives should be built only in accordance with the moral divine commandments, no matter what religion. So Leo Tolstoy confirms these thoughts: “One, only one, we have an infallible leader, a universal spirit that permeates all of us together and each, as a unit, investing in every striving for what should; the very spirit that in the tree tells him to grow to the sun, in the flower tells him to throw a seed by the fall and in us tells us to strive for God (it is clear that we are talking about moral divine commandments, according to which only people should build their lives - author's note) and in this desire to connect more and more with each other. But, no, a mental program is not formed that way. Apparently, all the fault is the insatiable bodily desires of a person, Without dwelling on them in detail, we note that they,in fact, they are the direct opposite of the moral precepts of any of the existing religions. And since we started talking about the analogy of human souls with computer programs, it is worth mentioning the hackers who hack these programs (souls), as well as all kinds of viruses that infect them. In order not to tire the reader unnecessarily, let us give him the opportunity to think about the dangers for the human soul in this regard at his leisure.let us give him the opportunity to think about the dangers for the human soul in this regard at his leisure. Let us give him the opportunity to think about the dangers for the human soul in this regard at his own leisure.

What about plant souls? It is clear that since every tiny seed contains a program of what a plant should be, then this already indicates that it has at least a particle of soul. And I must say that plants, unlike human ones, have excellent programs. As if entirely created according to the moral divine commandments, the plants are very patient. They do not complain when people do not take good care of them, they can endure some climatic inconveniences. And most importantly, taking care of the continuation of their kind, they bring joy and benefit to other living beings. Indeed, how beautiful the soul of a plant must be in order to dissolve its miraculous flowers in the spring (here, they say, admire!). And not just for the sake of beauty, but for the benefit: in the spring, the bees will have time to collect honey from the flowers, at the same time pollinating the plants, and in the fall, many of them will give animals and people a lot of berries, vegetables and fruits.

It would not hurt to have such a program in your souls and people. But people, as soon as they talk about the soul of plants, immediately become alarmed: is it possible to use this very soul for (allegedly) the good of people? - you can see questions like this on the internet. Thank gods that there is still no widespread interference in the "mental" programming of plants (meaning technologies for changing the genetic code of plants).
