Urban Retreat

Owner::   perennial fan
My "escape from chaos" lies in the village of Saratoga in the heart of Silicon Valley. The garden began as a blank landscape with some original fruit trees and now is full of perennials, herbs, roses, bulbs and many Japanese maples. The meandering gravel paths make it feel like a strolling garden, with the eating area being the favorite destination. The borders and planting areas are forever changing and yield yearly interest.

I tried to give this a four star rating but after hitting the first star, the computer locked me out! :( I particularly like the views from the bedroom and at sunrise as well as the fall colors.

A retreat of dedication and inspiration. The paths are a lovely way to bring focus to the various areas. When I clicked on each picture to see it full screen I could see so much detail. Such diversity of texture and color.
